Innovation, Growth, and Connection: Highlights from NADCA’s 36th Annual Meeting & Expo
Against the picturesque backdrop of the newly renovated Savannah Convention Center overlooking the Savannah River, 465 industry professionals gathered for the 36th Annual Meeting and Exposition, a dynamic event designed to align learning experiences with business objectives across all skill levels.
We kicked off the event with 106 technicians attending the ASCS and CVI training courses. Conference highlights included innovative additions like the interactive Whova mobile app and the newly introduced Ignite Sessions, which featured rapid-fire five-minute overviews on critical industry topics such as bridging generational gaps (led by new board member, Dan L’Herbier), social media content creation, conflict management, kitchen exhaust cleaning, airflow delivery, mini splits, dryer vents, and networking strategies. Attendees praised the Ignite Sessions for their energetic format, valuable insights, and facilitated peer-to-peer discussions.
Sam Richter, renowned author and motivational speaker, delivered a compelling keynote on leveraging artificial intelligence in business. Richter’s insights sparked considerable enthusiasm, providing attendees with practical strategies to enhance productivity and innovation in their organizations.
Dr. Mark Hernandez shared preliminary findings from NADCA's ongoing Colorado School study, a critical investigation into the impacts of HVAC system cleaning on indoor air quality, as well as the announcement of the final publication of NADCA’s energy study paper exploring HVAC system cleaning's role in energy efficiency.
Networking opportunities were abundant and memorable, including the lively grand opening reception in the Exhibit Hall, the NADCA member party, plus excursions like golfing at the scenic Savannah Harbour Golf Course, and VIP seating at Savannah's celebrated St. Patrick’s Day parade. The conference also proudly hosted the inaugural "Women of NADCA" meet-up, reflecting the evolution of the air duct cleaning industry.
In the exhibit hall, attendees experienced innovative demonstrations and a first look at new products from 30 exhibitors in 43 booths. Exhibitors networked with attendees as they showcased advancements and industry trends that captured attendees' attention.
Recognition and celebration were integral to the event, highlighted by awards such as the Hall of Fame honor presented to Bob Allen, the MVP award to Robert Rizen, and the welcoming of new board member Dan L’Herbier. The conference marked the transition from immediate past president, April Yungen, to incoming president, Jim Castellano, in a poignant moment of leadership change. Additionally, the introduction of Dr. McKeon signaled an exciting advancement in NADCA’s scientific initiatives.
With its engaging sessions, meaningful connections, and exciting innovations, the 2025 NADCA Annual Conference left attendees inspired and eager to apply new insights to their businesses, already anticipating next year's gathering.
